Kristopher Gawrych
Owner, farmer, father, dreamer
Kristopher, 43, was born and raised in Connecticut and Cape Cod, Massachusetts. He holds a B.A. degree in Sustainable Agriculture from the Evergreen State College in Olympia, Wa. Sol Gardens' only full time employee and lover of the beach, reclining chairs, hammocks, dirt, water, motorcycles, tractors, people, travelling, music, animals, family, friends, good times, and all things sol.
Lara Heckelsberg Gawrych
Owner, mother, professional multi-tasker
Lara, 46, Terre Haute native but Yorkville resident from the ripe old age of 9. She has been loving on the soil from Carbondale to California to Washington to New Zealand and finally back to Yorkville. Full time Realtor, child wrangler, consultant on all things Sol, tree hugger, schedule keeper, cat collector, Kristopher's reality checker, chicken transporter, late night dancer and proud to say she is living the dream.
Rowan, Oliver, and Zuri Gawrych
Ambassadors of all things fun
Rowan, 14, lover of animals, especially kittens. When not snuggling farm animals she can be found jumping on the trampoline. Rowan also gives a great farm tour.
Oliver, 13, disappears to the field often. Whether climbing and eating mulberries, or feasting on cherry tomatoes, his stained smile radiates happiness.
Zuri, 10, is our dancer. She loves to help wash vegetables on harvest day, and like her sister, loves all our animals. Though she is the youngest, she is bold and loves the dirt.
Together they are the next generation of dreamers.
